FEATURED ON:
Every saturday, my friends and I play Catan. I saw an add about this game and after reading about it, I ordered the DELUXE edition for 2-5 players. The quality of the material is great, but most importantly, the game is so much fun. We were worried it would be complicated, but after reading the instructions we started playing and immediatly got it. The glossary and the manual are super useful while playing. Honestly, it’s like a mix of Risk and Catan, and we all loved it. Also, the fact that you have different mappings according to how difficult you want the game to be is great. The mutation cards make it different every game. That game is going to be hard to top ! Great purchase.
Game is really fun. The only thing I don't like is that the board has presets instead of random like Catan. Otherwise, great game.
Great time! We love the rule book does such a great job explaining each card and interaction. It’s a must purchase, can’t wait for the expansion.
Bought this game because I needed something new. MY family and I are Catan fans and play it at almost every gathering, but it's lost thrill for me recently. I learned about Farms Race and really liked the concept. Took and chance with this game and I definitely don't regret it. Super fun and fast pace (which is great for my busy schedule). I cannot wait to try out all the different mutations!
Additionally, I also received excellent customer support. I add reached out about missing pieces that my kids got a hold off... They responded fairly quickly and I was able to pay a small shipping fee to get some replacement pieces. :)

FAQs
What is Farms Race?
Farms Race is the supreme leader of board games. It’s light-hearted, aggressive, and plays like Catan with nukes.
Is it good?
Over 100% of our playtesters gave it positive reviews, according to internal polling.
What's so good about it?
It's fast-paced, asymmetric, well-balanced, and accessible. It's also pretty funny, if we do say so ourselves.
Where are the tech trees, variable unit types, and complex economic engines, like in Eclipse and Scythe?
We think the best strategy games are like Go and Chess - the rules are simple but the choices are complex and meaningful. So that’s what we did with Farms Race: every turn you have a small number of important decisions to make, and you need to pay a lot of attention to what’s going on around you. Don't get us wrong though, we love Eclipse and Scythe!
What’s all this about “Euros”?
Euros, or German-style games, are peaceful trading games like Catan, Agricola, and Carcassonne. They offer idyllic pastoral escapism to anxious nerds, and winning is about as exciting as counting sheep (we’re looking at you Agricola).
Farms Race parodies the genre by mixing familiar Euro-style themes with a more historically accurate dose of conflict and warfare.
Wow… so “Euro” and “Gyro” are different then?
Yes. We love them both but you can’t eat a “Euro”.
So do you or don’t you like “Euros”?
We like them but, as ‘Muricans, we think they need nukes and guns.
Are you communists?
No. We believe in a kind of anarcho-syndicalist commune. See here for more info.
But Farms Race is communist, right?
Yes, definitely. Pig brother is watching.
Is that Kim Jong-un on one of the cards?
That’s just a totally normal sheep who might nuke you at any given moment for no
reason.
What can Farms Race teach me about the decline of American democracy?
Oh, you’re not going to learn *anything* by playing; we promise.
